Our Dear Friends and Family,
We are in Clarksburg, West Virginia. So much music: we hung out with an Appalachian Folk singer who does American History ballads, girls from a family gospel group, and tonight Anna is speaking at a street concert!
Wednesday, Megan and I worked out of Stonewall coffee, which turned out to be a Christian owned coffeeshop. Theywere very enthusiastic about the project— they invited us to stay after hours and join them for a home cooked chili supper. They told us that they are hosting a three hour concert slash food truck event on Friday night; they invited Anna to share about the project there!
They also invited the team back that night for a women’s Bible study at Saltwell Church, where we got to share a little about Project If Life. They also had a gender reveal party at the end: they had cupcakes that when we bit into them had blue centers for a baby boy! Super cute. Life is lovely. There were a LOT of toddler age children there, and all the girls were so kind and friendly.
That night, we stayed with the Jordans. Mrs. Jordan is Mr. Lindamood’s sister— their home backs up to a river, which was beautiful but also really neat because Anna had been wanting to swim in a river for weeks! Waffles and Hogans Heroes: we had such a fun visit!
The local firemen of Bridgeport came to our rescue, yesterday. I locked the keys in the van. It was so kind of them to take time for something so small. While we were still in the coffeeshop that we had been working out of we saw the same firefighters go by in their truck to help with an emergency.
Currently, we are staying with the Saltwell Church: they have a home for hospitality. The Henrys are the family that pastor there. Two of their girls— Hope and Harmony came by last night to surprise us with a homemade dessert. They were so fun! Their family is so full of love and life.
All our love,
Sarah-Marie Hoduski
