PROJECT IF LIFE Blog: September 18, 2017

Our Dear Friends and Family,

Parkersburg, West Virginia! We finished Ohio!

The Point– where slaves would swim across the river on the Underground Railroad.

Did you know one of the names we threw around for Project If Life was “The Habeus Corpus Underground”? The Latin means show me be the body of evidence— so it would mean show me the body of evidence that is underground or hidden. It is the evidence that is hidden, but with abortion it’s also, literally, the bodies. It was also a deep nod to the Underground Railroad. We almost did a route from the South to the North instead of coast to coast: following the route of escaped slaves to freedom. The run would have paralleled the denial of rights of slaves to the denied humanity of the unborn.

Fortune Favors the Brave

However, we went with Project If Life and the rest is history. Nonetheless, we had the opportunity this week to visit the Point in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The Point is one of the crossings for slaves into freedom! The museum by the Point has a crest that reads, Fortes, Fortuna, Juvat or Fortune Favors the Brave. It was such a cool opportunity to see and read about the brave bid for equality by so many slaves.

Our hosts in Parkersburg, the Lindamoods are really lovely! They have made us homemade dinners every night and cookies that we can’t seem to get enough of! We know them through their son Matt Lindamood who travels the world using athletics to bring his message of Christ. Matt connected us with Elite Sports, where Anna will be speaking, tonight.

Anna also has an engagement to speak with WTAP action news, tonight. Tune in for the 5:00ET news if you can!

We got a great road bike to borrow from the Weaver family for Anna to finish with! They drove hours to bring it our for Anne. God is so amazing with His provision! Right before Anna does the last set of mountains, He gives her a top tier bike to cruise with.

We have our final event in Washington DC on October 15th— there hoping for a great crowd, but DC is expensive to stay in: if you have connections for us please reach out. Also, if you or anyone you know has a church or home that could open its doors that would be really helpful for this event!

All Our Love,
