Our Dear Friends and Family,

Anna with state’s counsel against Planned Parenthood!

We attended the Ohio court case, this morning! It’s amazing! It is being called the biggest piece of pro-life legislation ever for their state! It is our third pro-life legislation where we’ve been able to sit in on the action. Today’s was SO exciting! The pro-life counsel argued that the clinic in Toledo needs to be closed because they lack a transfer agreement with any local hospitals. It is such a loud statement that out of thousands of medical professionals— none of them will sign a transfer agreement with Planned Parenthood.

Their sentiments are echoed in the $40,000 fine that was issued this same clinic a couple days ago: Planned Parenthood’s physician botched an abortion and instead of calling 911 took the woman in a personal car to the Emergency room and dumped her— they didn’t even wait to see if she was okay.

We launched our latest project video on Sunday! That film represents two weeks of filming and countless hours of editing by our friend, Andy Gwynn. We love having the opportunity to share the pro-life message, even if we can’t physically be present.

We met with the Chairman of the Board of Heartbeat International, Peggy Hartshorn, yesterday! They started the Heartbeat International affiliate Option Line out of their bedroom decades ago: now it is a global resource for women looking  for help at pregnancy centers. They take more than a thousand calls a day, have live chat, and instant message resources. Option Line also helps women travel across countries to get help for their babies: they had recently helped transport a mother from Syria to Israel; that afternoon they took calls from Ireland, the Philippines, and Morocco.

We have been staying with the Connors family for the past two nights: homemade Stromboli, late night tea, sunflowers, and terrific conversations about pro-life legislation! They invited their friends the McGirtys for dinner—Mrs. McGirty with a pregnancy center here in Chilicothe, Ohio.

Anna spoke at their church, St. Timothy’s; it was a really terrific speech. The parish was very kind and enthusiastic about the pro-life message. Anna also spoke at their youth group. In attendance was an OBGYN Dr. Kathy Lutter who also volunteers at the local pregnancy center. Ultrasounds save lives—8 out of ten women that see an ultrasound choose life; it’s always great when a pregnancy center can be medical.

All our love,

Sarah-Marie Hoduski
