West Coast Wound Down

From Bonner Springs, Ks June 19, 2017

Our Dear Friends and Family,

We are finished with the first half of the run across the United States! We are SO proud of Anna and Nicholas for their endurance and commitment to the unborn.

A race run: they covered every step of the Western half of the United States. After a 28-mile run, Anna and Nick crashed into the Pacific Ocean in May. Exhausted but joyful, Annie couldn’t keep her footing in the waves. It was an incredible day.

As Nick says, in some ways it was like going to war, but the Western half has also been a thing of beauty: long stretches of desert made up of impossible arches and colors; we got to experience the Colorado Rockies in Fall with its bouldered-Emerald waterfalls and bridal-like paths veiled with fallen yellow petal Aspen leaves.

More than natural beauty, one of the greatest pleasures of this run has been experiencing time with people. We have grown as a team, and we engaged with so many wonderful, kind people investing in the lives of the unborn. We have been so impressed with the commitment and love of pro-life groups across the nation. You are our allies and have become our friends. We admire the honesty and authenticity of those that have shared their stories.

Forty-seven speaking engagements across the United States is no mean feat. We are proud of Annie speaking at venues and grateful for Megan’s talents as a coordinator. What an incredible way to connect with and learn from others.

We are grateful for Nick’s time on the run. He was instrumental in the successes of this first half. Although it was always intended that he would leave after the first half, we are sad to see him go.

The team is back in Kansas City running toward Washington DC. Running East gives us so much hope! We believe that Anna will reach Washington DC by December or January of this year. We are excited that Ben Burke from Portland, Oregon has joined the team! Ben is already a wonderful asset to the team: he brings financial savvy, is a capable athlete, and an intuitive counselor.

We expect to be in the Kansas City area for the next couple weeks as we head toward Washington D.C. Please continue to pray for health for the whole team and that God opens up doors for speaking engagements. Pray that we would be at the right place at the right time in terms of our route and connecting with people, and for the right words.

Love,
Sarah-Marie Hoduski
